RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

New research is leading to major improvements in valve efficiency and performance.

For instance, the use of chromium and tungsten carbide coatings to protect the internals of ball valves offers improved resistance to both erosion and extreme temperatures. These coatings are applied using either thermal spray, which allows some porosity in the finished coating, or fusion, which is non-porous and can be more resistant to thermal shock.

Another innovation is the use of superalloys, such as Inconel, Monel and Hasterloy – all of which deliver enhanced oxidation and corrosion resistance in extreme environments.

Pinjarra Engineering is committed to being at the forefront of researching and developing these new solutions to help all customers achieve better and more cost-effective results from their valves and pumps.
